Osoyoos photographer Greg Reely opened his first solo show, Photoscapes, at The Art Gallery Osoyoos on Saturday, Feb. 12.

The show runs until March 5, 2022.

“I’m really excited for my first solo gallery show,” said Reely. “I just hope I gain some new fans and maybe sell a couple of framed prints. That would be nice.”

Reely, who is president of the Osoyoos Photography Club, has often displayed at the gallery, but always as part of a show with other artists. He often posts his photos on social media and has a booth at Osoyoos Market on Main during the summer.

Reely’s work captures local landscapes, celestial skies, weather events, birds and more. It often features an otherworldly quality due to extensive post processing and multiple exposures. His work is mostly digital, but he often shoots the original image on film.

He prints on a variety of media, including canvas, metal, acrylic and regular framed prints.

Reely came to Osoyoos from Vancouver in 2009 and says moving to the Okanagan has inspired a renewed passion for landscapes.

He works as a sound engineer, sometimes with well-known musicians, and he also plays as a drummer with the local band Yard Katz and others. He’s also an avid golfer.

The Art Gallery Osoyoos is located at 8713 Main Street, Osoyoos, just west of Town Hall. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Covid safety precautions are in place.
